About Me

From Tax Advisor to Book Blogger

Hi, I’m Linda – a tax advisor by profession, a storyteller at heart, and someone who’s always had a quiet hunger for meaning.
This blog is where my love of books, ideas, and the little turning points in everyday life come together.
Think of it as a personal compass – a space to share reflections, inspiration, and the gentle art of starting over (again and again).

I’ve spent years navigating numbers, deadlines, and expectations – and somewhere along the way, I started carving out small moments for the things that really move me: stories, words, and that quiet feeling of being exactly where I want to be – even if just for a page or two.

This blog was born out of those moments.
Of reading in cafés between client calls.
Of writing late at night, when the inbox is silent.
Of dreaming quietly of a life that feels more like me.

My Blog’s Mission

The Book Fix is a space for book lovers, deep thinkers, and smart women with a Plan B in their heart.
It’s where the love of reading meets the complexity of everyday life – and where we gently explore what it means to feel stuck, curious, overwhelmed, or quietly inspired.

I share books that shift something. Thoughts that linger.
And small rituals that make even an ordinary Tuesday feel like it matters.

This blog is not about quitting everything.
It’s about finding something that’s yours – page by page, thought by thought.

A Journey Through Reading, Writing and Reimagining Life

The blog is built around six simple pillars:
Reading, Writing, Surviving, Thriving – plus the space to pause and begin again.
You’ll find reflections on books that challenge and comfort, writing prompts and thoughts in progress, and honest glimpses of what it’s like to balance ambition, exhaustion, and the quiet longing for something more.

It’s not always pretty. But it’s real. And maybe you’ll see yourself in it.

Why I Read (and Re-read)

Reading isn’t just a hobby – it’s how I travel inward.
Books have helped me make sense of things I couldn’t say out loud.
They’ve made me laugh, cry, rethink, and rebuild.
And sometimes, they were simply a hand to hold when nothing else made sense.

I read to find language for what I feel.
I write to understand who I am becoming.
And I share all of it – because maybe you’re looking, too.
